Ecology and Society Vol 13 Iss 1

I award the prize for the best article title in the latest issue of Ecology and Society to Source/Sink Patterns of Disturbance and Cross-Scale Mismatches in a Panarchy of Social-Ecological Landscapes. I haven't read it, but the study apparently has an immediate practical application:
Through the framework outlined in our examples, managers, as well as stakeholders belonging to SELs [social-ecological landscapes] in the panarchy, can be aware of specific scale ranges of disturbance where mismatches might occur and that will help them to value where and how to intervene in the panarchy of SELs to enhance the benefits and to minimize negative effects.
I award a special mention to the title Developmental Disorders as Pathological Resilience Domains.
