Pompous old Gaia

James Lovelock remains true to his anthropomorphic view of the Earth. He writes in this week's Nature, with Chris G. Rapley:

We propose a way to stimulate the Earth's capacity to cure itself, as an emergency treatment for the pathology of global warming.
